That's why we built PickleFolk.
What PickleFolk Does
PickleFolk is a national pickleball court directory and player-matching platform. We've aggregated over 15,000 courts across the US — with photos, hours, amenities, ratings, and real-time availability from operators who manage their own listings.
But we're not just a directory. We're building the tools that make open play actually enjoyable:
Skill-Based Player Matching
The #1 complaint on every pickleball forum: skill mismatch at open play. Beginners getting crushed. Advanced players frustrated. Nobody having fun.
PickleFolk auto-matches players within ±0.5 of your skill rating — so you're always playing with people at roughly the same level. You can set your skill from self-reported, DUPR-imported, or our in-app assessment.
Digital Paddle Queue
Every open play regular knows the chaos: paddles stacked on a bench, disputes about who's next, confusion about which paddle goes where.
PickleFolk replaces that with a digital queue players can join from their phone. Organizers control the rotation. Players see exactly where they stand. No more physical paddle anxiety.
Court Availability — All Sources
We pull availability from every source we can:
- Operator-managed hours and schedules
- Community-uploaded schedule photos
- External facility booking links
- The PickleFolk Scheduler (for courts that want built-in bookings)
Built for Players, by Players
We've all been that person who drove 20 minutes to a court only to find it closed, or showed up to open play only to wait 45 minutes for a game because everyone else was 2.0 levels above you.
PickleFolk fixes that. It's the app we wish existed when we started playing.
